Students learn at MFEA conference

Helen Black, Sheila Hickman and The Teacher Academy students at the Winston-Louisville Career & Technology Center (WLCTC) just returned from the 2015 Mississippi Future Educators Association State Conference.

Students participated in educational workshops and competed with other Teacher Academy students across the state of Mississippi.

The following students gained top honors competing at the state level:
Garesha Robinson, third place, Exploring Student Support Services Careers
Amber Gill, first place, Job Interview
Cassi Pearson, first place, Lesson Planning
Nyasia Coleman, Titeiana Davis, Tatyana Waldrip, Abby Sullivan, & Hope Harrington, first place

These students are eligible to compete at the national level. The National FEA State Conference will be April 22 – April 26, 2015 in Washington D.C. Fund raising efforts are currently underway to help these students take advantage of this outstanding opportunity.
