Taylor Group of companies promotes Walker as software developer

Louisville, Mississippi (September 20, 2013) The Taylor Group of Companies has announced Tyler Walker as accepting the position of Software Developer. Walker will be responsible for upgrading computer programs and systems.

Robert Lowery, Taylor Machine Works Director of I.T. department, stated, “Tyler has made valuable contributions to the Taylor Group as a programmer/analyst for the past two years and is uniquely qualified to assume the position of Software Developer. He will be working closely with the Marketing Support Department in furthering the efficiencies of the Sales Book Program.”

Walker received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from Mississippi State University in 2011. He attended East Central Community College where he received his Associate of Science degree in Computer Programming prior to transferring to Mississippi State. Walker began his tenure with the Taylor Group while still in college before accepting a full time position after graduation.

Walker is one of many third generations of the “Big Red” team of employees at the Taylor Companies. He is the grandson of the late Evo Walker (Senior Designer in Engineering for 31 years) and the son of Ben Walker (Senior Designer in Engineering for 38 years. at Taylor Machine Works.
