The 17th annual ‘Home for Christmas’ concert set

The 17th annual ‘Home for Christmas’ benefit concert is set for Saturday, December 14.  The concert will take place at the historic Strand Theatre in downtown Louisville.  It will consist of two shows with one at 4 p.m. and the other following at 7 p.m.

In addition to Carl Jackson Jerry Salley, Larry Cordle, Valerie Storey, Bradley Walker, Johnny Rawls, and comedian Lonnie Shorr, the show will also present upcoming stars The Church Sisters, Savannah and Sarah Church.

“I’m not talking about being ‘good for their age’ either… I’m talking about being GREAT singers for any age and compared to anyone.  God has blessed these young ladies with so much talent, it’s almost unbelievable… and you will be just as blessed to hear them… trust me” states Jackson of the Church Sisters.  “I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many great singers in my career,” states Jackson, “but I can honestly say Savannah and Sarah, the Church Sisters, are as good as it gets.”

All proceeds from the concert will go to help the continued renovations of Carl Jackson’s hometown Strand Theatre which now serves as a Community Arts Center.

Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber by calling 773-3921 or go by and see Martha Mills or Linda Skelton.
