The Louisville Historic Preservation Commission holds meeting

From press reports

The Louisville Historic Preservation Commission met February 28 at the Chamber of Commerce.  Jimmy Sharp, past board chairman resignation was accepted by the Board of Alderman.  Presently, we need a new interested board member.

The first item of business was to elect new officers for the 2014-2015 year.  Marceen Moody was elected board chairman, Frances Edwards was elected Vice Chairman, and Victoria Goss was elected secretary.

Presently we are preparing for a visit on March 28 by Todd Sanders who is the Historic Preservation Tax Credit Coordinator. Businesses and historic home owners are encouraged to put this date on their calendar.

The commission is also working on a packet for new home owners in the historic district that will have information on ordinance 233 and other items that will help in keeping the district preserved.
