Visitors research family history at library

The Winston County Library helps boost the local economy in many ways.  These two lovely ladies traveled 700 miles to do family research at the library.  First cousins Sue Tim (left) from Moline, IL and Donna Welty from Davenport, IA had rooms booked in West Point and made a day trip to Louisville to research the Williams and Gradeff families (Murphy Creek).  After several hours of research at the library, they had lunch at Market Café, visited the Courthouse for more research and shopped at Fashion Boutique and Becky’s Antiques.  They then came back to the library for a bit more research and told the staff that everyone in the library and around the town had been so nice to them, and so helpful in their research, that they had decided to stay the night in Louisville.  They wanted to do a little more work at the library and a little more sightseeing.  They said that Louisville is one of the nicest towns they had ever visited!
