A solid season for the Nanih Waiya powerlifting team continued this past weekend, as the Warriors placed second in the MHSAA Class 1A North State Meet.

After taking second to Sebastopol in the Region meet last month, Nanih Waiya was once again runner up to the Bobcats in the North State Meet held at Calhoun City.

North State individual champions include Caleb Warren in the 308-pound class, Daniel Triplett in the 165-pound class, Tyree McClendon in the 148-pound weight class, and Tykell Triplett in the 132-pound class.

Braxton Stokes was second for the Warriors in the 198-pound weight class; while Cole Misso placed third for Nanih Waiya in the 308-pound weight classification.
