Mrs. Elton Earl Watson, Jr., of Louisville, announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Katherine Grace, to Mr. Timothy Williams Butts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Lewis Butts of Louisville. Miss Watson is the daughter of the late Elton Earl Watson, Jr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Blalock of Collinsville and Mr. and Mrs. Elton Earl Watson of Louisville. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Butts and Mrs. Sidney J. Hendrix and the late Sidney J. Hendrix, all of Louisville.
Miss Watson is a 2007 graduate of Winston Academy. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy leadership and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Southern studies. While at Ole Miss, she was a member and president of Kappa Delta Sorority. She is a program assistant for the Charles Koch Institute in Arlington, Virginia.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Louisville High School. He continued his education while playing on the football teams at the University of North Alabama and the University of Memphis. He is employed by CleanPro in Louisville.
The couple will exchange vows on May 31 at seven o’clock in the evening at First Baptist Church in Louisville. Following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the backyard of the bride’s childhood home. The couple plans to make their home in Alexandria, Virginia, outside of Washington, DC.
