Audrey Griffin will represent Winston County in the 64th Miss Hospitality Pageant, July 25 and 26 at the historic Saenger Theater downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Audrey is the daughter of Joey and Angie Griffin. She has recently graduated from East Central Community College as an Achievement Scholar, Phi Theta Kappa member, and Associate Degree Nursing student.
She plans to work as an RN where the Lord leads. Audrey is an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church and participates in the Music Ministry by singing Specials during Worship.
Audrey has reigned as an “Ambassador” of Alzheimer’s Awareness for a Mississippi chapter as Miss Forget-Me-Not. She currently supports this platform. She also enjoys doing hair and make-up fro girls in pageants and other events. Audrey loves animals and is passionate about animal rescue and care. She has participated in numerous pageants and programs within the local level, as well as, state level.
Audrey states, “I am truly honored and excited to be representing my county.”
She is one of more than 35 contestants from across the state that will compete fro more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes and for the title of Mississippi Miss Hospitality 014. These contestants will experience a full week of special events, tours, interviews, and rehearsals, with two nights of competition beginning on Friday, July 25 at 8pm and the final competition on Saturday, July 26 at the Saenger Theatre.
If she is crowned Mississippi Miss Hospitality 2014, she will travel the state and country promoting Mississippi’s tourism, industry, and economic development. She will also serve as Mississippi’s goodwill ambassador for one year, sharing the spirit of the Hospitality State with everyone she meets.
