Winston Medical Center to host Community Forum

From press reports

Winston Medical Center invites everyone to join the effort to improve the health of the community by attending a “Community Health Planning Initiative” on Tuesday, October 15 from 5:30 until 6:30 at Lake-Tia-O-Khata.

The public is invited to participate in the Community Forum to discuss the health needs of Winston County.

Winston Medical Center encourages the citizens of Winston County to attend this event to help identify and develop plans of action to address the healthcare needs of our community.

The WMC Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) represents a collaborative, community-based approach to identify, access, and prioritize the most important health issues affecting the community.  The process is the foundation that Winston Medical Center and the community will use to develop a collaborative plan and foster programs to effectively address those needs in the community.

There are many factors that are combined to determine the health of a community.

“Winston Medical Center wants to work together with our community to determine what is needed for Winston County.  By working together, we can understand the issues and plan to address them,” stated Lee McCall, CEO.
