WMC to open clinic in Noxapater

From staff reports

Winston County Medical Center is prepping to open a new clinic in Noxapater

The Noxapater Health Clinic could open its doors as soon as Nov. 1, according to Winston Medical Center Administrator Lee McCall.

The facility will offer a care center with a nurse practitioner and a full staff.

“We have hired a nurse practitioner,” said McCall as he addressed the Winston County Board of Supervisors. “She is working at the hospital until the clinic is open.”

The facility will allow the Winston Medical Center to serve the residents of Noxapater closer to their homes.

“We are excited about the project,” said McCall to the Louisville Board of Aldermen.

The clinic will be located behind the old city hall across from Citizens Bank in Noxapater at 90 West Main Street. The clinic will be a 3200 square feet building.

The building was delivered Sept. 27 with the construction team working throughout that weekend to get the area prepped for the building.

Officials of the Town of Noxapater are working in conjunction with WMC to place the clinic in the community. McCall recognized District Supervisor Larry Duran for his help with the project.
